the Provincial of Chennai Province is indeed a gift to our Province. Besides her gift of knowledge and foresight, she has a generous heart that reaches out with empathy to the poor and the needy. Her dream of setting up a Social Service Centre to cater to the downtrodden and the marginalised was realised in 2020. The Centre was her long awaited desire which had sparked off like a flame, and was rightly named SUDAR during the Covid 19 pandemic which brought the doubly jeopardised Transgenders knocking at our door for food. Being a gentle, loving, and caring persondeeply rooted in prayer, Sr. Nirmala’s focus is always on God in order to be a channel of His blessing to others. With her encouragement and timely support SUDAR hopes to continue its mission.
